Over the years and several diverse careers, Mark Hordyszynski has striven to excel beyond the everyday design challenges presented to him. "It's the act of creating that I find most challenging. I never know how a project is going to turn out because through it all, it's always a work in progress. I feel I am only the channel, which allows the creation to create itself,” says Hordyszynski. Born and raised in New York City, he graduated from both the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. He has worked both in the front of the house and in the kitchen of restaurants, hotels and an affluent country club; designed menswear, run his own small business, is an artist, the author of two books, an award-winning photographer and fabric designer.
